Interview With iPhone App Developer, Matt Campbell
Sunday, April 5, 2009 15:49Matt Campbell saw an exciting opportunity last summer when Apple opened up its iTunes Application store to 3rd party developers. He seized that opportunity, developing several useful applications and quickly becoming successful enough to leave his already rewarding career to pursue his passion of growing his own business. Matt is just what The Niche Show is about. He wasn’t struck by lightning, he didn’t simply drop an existing fortune into a turn-key operation. He’s a talented guy who worked hard, knew his strengths, followed his passion, and did his homework. Shaun and Nick ask him about his experiences thus far, what mistakes he made, and what he sees for his business in the future. Take a listen and share your thoughts with us!
Check out his iPhone App Shop website for great apps that help you record your wine tastings, buy your next home, or budget for Christmas presents, to name a few!

It is great that the tools demonstrated here can be implemented in to any niche. Designing with the end in mind is indeed key. There are insights into the Apple store that I can definitely use. I have a link to it for digital downloadables but prefer CDBaby for .mp3’s. Obviously the format of your information/digital product is a factor and as you say iTunes provides a stellar platform.
