Andrew Baron, the brilliant guy behind Rocketboom, was kind enough to join Nick and Shaun for a chat.  He shares his experiences in building his daily world news show based in New York to the fantastic success it is today.  Andrew also gives us his great insights on what someone looking to break into the video scene should keep in mind today.  Andrew is extremely talented and we could have grilled him for hours on all the new stuff he is working on, but we kept it short, so maybe he’ll drop by again someday if we’re lucky!

In case you haven’t heard of the sensation that is Rocketboom, please check it out.  It’s been running since 2004 (the dark ages, in Internet Video terms), and has been a highly acclaimed, heavily visited, and healthily growing website ever since.  In late 2008, Rocketboom signed a significant distribution and advertising deal with Sony Pictures Television that is breaking new ground for Internet Video, and allowing Andrew and his team to set their sights on even greater things.

Listen to the podcast, subscribe, leave a comment, watch some Rocketboom video.  There, you’ve got the next couple hours planned!

Oh man that is SO true. One man shows are REALLY involved. Throw marketing in on top of it? Yeah, plan ahead, take a look around and focus on the important parts that will attract and pull an audience.
